Cultural Heritage Trip
Scenic Cycling Loop: Bled – Ribenski Most – Radovljica
Embark on a 25 km loop that threads emerald waters riverside with a calm and medieval ambience in one effortless ride.
Lakeside Magic
Begin the trip on the main bus stop Bled and follow the cycling path along the shore, pedaling past boathouses and pebbled beaches until you reach the turn toward Ribno.
Riverside Pause
Cross the Sava on Ribenski most, where the iron girders frame the river’s glints below—an ideal spot for a quick snapshot. On the far bank, veer onto the gravel trail that skirts the meadows of Globoko. Here, you’ll roll past a working watermill whose wheel still turns with the stream.
Meadow to Medieval
Follow the gentle rise through flowered fields and pine copses toward Strahinj, then stay on the gravel all the way to Radovljica. Mid-route, a paved side-road leads you directly to the old castle ruins (Stari Grad), perched above the valley—no extra walking required for the view.
Old-Town Finale
Descend into Radovljica’s UNESCO-listed centre, where pastel façades line the cobblestone square. Explore the 15th-century Church of the Assumption, admire folk-art murals in the old mint, or simply relax with a slice of local honey gingerbread in a café.
This half-day adventure proves Slovenia’s finest scenes unfold when you cycle at a happy pace—no huffing, no puffing, just pure scenic delight.
